Experience – Compassion – Common Sense
I am excited to to be chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate in the election in Penzance East.
I have a proven track record of getting things done in Penzance, having served on Penzance Town Council and Penwith District Council between 1991 and 2013. I was also elected Penzance Mayor in 1997.
I live in the ward and have been a Penzance resident since 1972.
I am a trustee of the successful youth project Trelya. I have also been a school governor at Pensans school and served on the board of Penwith Housing Association.
Having worked at Breadline for many years, if elected I will use my experience and understanding to find compassionate solutions to current issues such as rough sleeping. I also want to find ways to overcome loneliness among older people, disabled people and lone parents.
I am campaigning together with other local Liberal Democrats to save our public services including police, the NHS, schools and services for young people.
