Local Lib Dems choose Caroline White

Local Liberal Democrats choose Caroline for candidate in Penzance East

Former councillor Caroline White has been chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Penzance East election.

Caroline has a proven track record of getting things done in Penzance, having served on Penzance Town Council from 1991 to 2013 and Penwith District Council between 1998 to 2012.  She was also elected Penzance Mayor in 1997.

Caroline lives in the ward and has been a Penzance resident since 1972.

She is a trustee of the successful youth project Trelya, and has also been a school governor at Pensans school and served on the board of Penwith Housing Association.

Caroline says, “Having worked at Breadline for many years, if elected I will use my experience and understanding to find compassionate solutions to current issues such as rough sleeping. I also want to find ways to overcome loneliness among older people, disabled people and lone parents.

“I am campaigning together with other local Liberal Democrats to save our public services including police, the NHS, schools and services for young people.”
