Fixing Britain's Railways
Rail fares are going through the roof - going by train just isn't affordable any more, it's a luxury. With such poor service, this needs to stop. The Lib Dems will freeze season ticket prices for five years to give us time to fix our broken railways and make sure we're getting what we pay for.
Amongst other improvements we'll:
- Convert the rail network to ultra-low-emission technology
- Allow public sector and not-for-profit companies to run trains
- Sack train operators if they fail to provide a high-quality public service

A new approach to drugs and crime
The Lib Dems will bring about real drug reform - we'll legalise and regulate cannabis to stop criminal gangs and the black market, invest in services to help fight addiction and allow those who use medical cannabis to do so without fear of prosecution.
Climate Conference
On Monday Andrew George took part in a Climate Conference hosted by Humphry Davy School. Delegates from over twenty primary and secondary schools came together for the day and took part in a wide range of art, music, science and other environmental workshops with visiting experts and organisations.

Jo Swinson is doing a great job. But I’m not convinced the Leader’s office has thought this through. I’m as passionate about wanting to stop this damaging Brexit led by people with dodgy agendas as she is. But this policy will make that job more difficult.
